I'm Vi Trang, and this is my website, vitrang.com. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit or get in touch, what I do with it, and who I share it with.

What I collect

When you use the contact form or book a call

If you fill out the "Ask me anything" form or pick a time via my calendar link, I collect whatever you give me; typically your name, email address, phone number, and anything you tell me about your business or project.

When you browse the site

Like most websites, mine picks up some technical data automatically; things like your IP address, browser type, device, and how you move through the site. This comes via Squarespace (my website platform) and Google Tag Manager, which I use to understand traffic and improve the site.

When you email me directly

If you email hello@vitrang.com, I'll have your email address and whatever you send me.

I don't collect sensitive information (health, financial details, etc.) unless you volunteer it, and I don't ask for it.

Why I collect it

Pretty simple:

  • To respond to your enquiry and, if we get there, deliver marketing services to you

  • To book and manage calls/meetings

  • To understand how people find and use my site, so I can make it better

  • To meet legal or accounting obligations (e.g. invoicing, tax records)

I don't use your information for anything beyond this. I don't sell it, and I don't use it to build creepy ad profiles.

Who I share it with

I use a small number of trusted third-party tools to run this business. They may process your data as part of that:

  • Squarespace — hosts this website and its contact form

  • Google Calendar — powers the booking link for calls

  • Google Tag Manager / Analytics — website traffic and usage data

  • Email/accounting tools I use to run the consultancy (e.g. email provider, invoicing software)

Each of these has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. I don't share your details with anyone else, and I never sell your information.

Cookies

The site uses cookies (small files stored on your device) mainly for analytics, to see how visitors use the site so I can improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as smoothly if you do.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry and client information for as long as it's useful to our working relationship, and after that, only as long as needed for legal, accounting, or record-keeping purposes. After that, I delete it.

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, you can ask me to:

  • Tell you what personal information I hold about you

  • Correct anything that's wrong or out of date

  • Delete your information (where I'm not legally required to keep it)

Just email hello@vitrang.com and I'll sort it out promptly.

If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Security

I take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including relying on the security measures of the reputable platforms I use (Squarespace, Google, etc.). That said, no online system is 100% risk-free, and I can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time as the business or the tools I use change. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
